I just couldn't resist putting this photo on the site to show how great the new bar structure looks on the Island in the Centre of Pool 1. Especially in the glorious sunshine.

- Snow on El Teide
Mount Teide confounded the pessimists who predicted this winter would be a snow-less one at least over here in Tenerife. After gale-force winds that lashed the island on January 12 and 13, the clouds parted to reveal a picture postcard vision of the sleeping giant. With the snow has come a slight chill in the wind with temperatures just reaching 19 or 20 degrees Celcius in the south in the day and 15 at night. Still it is winter, and I'm sure it'll soon warm up again over the next few days.

- Submarine Safaris are GO
As reported some time ago a large yellow submarine has taken to the water in Amarilla Golf's own Marina. Since Christmas 2006 it has been operating in the watersof San Miguel. Take a trip to experience a slice of the true underwater world of Tenerife, previously reserved exclusively for divers. The submarine boasts all the latest technology, air conditioning and of course big windows to look out of at the amazing sights in store for each intrepid passenger.
Trips can now be booked directly from the Submarine Safari's shop in the Golf del Sur commercial centre or by contacting them on 922 736 629.
They even have a website www.submarinesafaris.com, though they still need to put the information on about the submarine right here in Amarilla Golf.

- Good progress on Infrastructure works
Infrastructure works throughout the Amarilla Golf area have been progressing at a rapid pace over the last few months with the temporary road by Pinehurst being closed off and all traffic now being directed down the new road leading towards the San Miguel Marina. Once on this you only need to bear off towards the right at the new roundabout to pass Scorpio and carry on towards Pebble Bridge at the the heart of Pebble Beach Village.
Earth movers are excavating soil and breaking up solid road in the parcels of land between Gemini and Leo, Libra and our own development to put in the new roads which will serve these plots. The new road which passes Augusta Park is being finished with vast stretches of paving being laid to the pavements.
The route for the new electricity cable which will come down from Las Chafiras has been marked out to one side of the existing road which winds down to the golf house. Excavation of the trench to take the ducting and cabling is to start imminently.
