A step closer to handing over

Dear all,

I know some of you have been wondering what has happened to my regular monthly update, and what am I hiding. The truth is that I didn't want to write a report which said that we were still waiting for the Town Hall inspection, so I have kept the pressure on them visits and telephone calls) until finally they came to visit earlier today.

The Town Hall Technical Department’s inspector who visited El Barranco Resort today was here to check that all the works done have been carried out in accordance with the original building licence issued by themselves in 2004.

During the inspection the inspector checked common areas as well as a wide selection of the apartments and villas. Very few faults were highlighted and those which were, were only of a minor nature, will be easily and speedily rectified by our contractor.

The process now is that the Town Hall’s inspector will produce a report, which he will present to the next Planning meeting, with his recommendation that the Licences for First Occupation and Habitation Certificates for all dwellings be granted.

With luck and without further complications this process should be complete within a month during which time I will continue to visit the Town Hall regularly to keep gentle pressure on the process.

Then as soon as we are notified that the paperwork is ready in the Town Hall for us to pick up we will notify all owners via the contact details we have to request that you (or whoever is acting on your behalf) contact us to arrange to visit the Notary’s office to complete your property purchase.

Please ensure that you have provided all information requested by ourselves previously (look back in Blog) so that the conveyance can proceed as smoothly as possible.

I attach a few photos of the areas surrounding El Barranco Resort to illustrate to what standard the infrastructure works have now been completed and the extent to which the area has been tidied up.

Regards,   Phil
