My take on the development
As an owner within the development, my ownly dissapointment has been the time it has taken to get this far. But for those that have not yet bought or considering investing, let me tell you what I've seen.
I've been coming over to this part of Tenerife for over 5 years now. For those that already live here, there can be no surprise at the development as I saw pictures in the show room over 5 years ago and they pretty much represent the finished product.
I've visited the development most recently in December 2007 and what ever reservations I may have had, about anything, were dispelled as soon as we walked around.
First of all the grounds
They were spacious. I had worries that it would not have enough sun bathing areas or that it might be too narrow or shaded. Forget it. It's great with both grass and hard surfaces and plenty of space for sun loungers. When we get them.
I was really quite surprised how big the development feels.
Apartments
The quality of the apartments are spacious and have a feeling of quality, not a cheap cramped feel that we've seen in other developments. Our balcony is 3 metres x 7metres.
Yes, there are bits that need sorting and we did a snagging list for Phil whilst we were there.
His candid approach has meant that he really is the only one that keeps us informed, if there is a reason to complain about the time that it has taken then people should direct that at the spanish authorities not the developer.
The Area around the development
Owners around the development have had the area changed, but surely this has been only for the good. The roads and pavements are new having replaced the temporary surfaces and pot holes.
This whole area is still quiet with beautiful golf courses, stunning views and a new marina. The variety of new developments has changed the way Amarilla Golf looks, but in my humble opinion ... for the better and greater good.
