Dear Mr Oakley,

Thank you for your comments. It’s good to see someone else using the blog apart from me. Unlike you I have only been really following this project since July 2005 when I took on the task of managing the building contractor to ensure El Barranco was built as per the approved project. Having followed the project from 2001 you will probably know better than me the problems, which were encountered by all the developers aiming to build in Amarilla Golf. However following lengthy negotiations, numerous changes in planning laws and the guaranteeing of the payment for the infrastructure works to benefit the whole of Amarilla Golf building licences began to be given out by the Town Hall in 2005 for the present phase of building works.

My monthly reports have been meant to give all who are interested an insight as to recent progress.

As I reported applications for the Licence of First Occupation and Habitation Certificate were presented in the Town Hall at the beginning of March 2008. I have been informed by the Town Hall that the necessary inspections of the properties and site as a whole will be carried out by the technical officers before the end of this month (April). Thus I am awaiting these inspections. Once carried out and any comments dealt with we should be provided with these important pieces of paperwork which will allow me to proceed to the next stage. That is the stage of notifying all prospective owners that they can then arrange to visit the notary’s office with their and our lawyer to complete their property purchase.

My intention as has always been is to ensure that everything is done perfectly legally here to alleviate any problems in the future not only for the developer but most importantly for future owners themselves.

I obviously cannot comment upon buoyant predictions of capital growth nor predict a correction in prices in the housing market.

In relation to the road which is awaiting tarmac we are told by the Town Hall that their contractor will lay tarmac when a suitable area is ready for laying all at the same time.

If you would like to speak to someone face to face, as since July 2005 I am on site each day and would be more than happy to meat you to discuss any particular concerns which you may have.

Regards,   Philip Wright on behalf of Taurus Project SL
