February Progress Report

Dear all,

I am now able to confirm that the applications for the Licences of First Occupation and the Habitation Certificates for each of the properties within the El Barranco Resort were made last week. A little later than I estimated in January’s Progress Report, for the reason that we were awaiting certain paperwork.

This means that the Town Hall technical department can now start reviewing our applications and organising inspection visits to site to check that each property and the Resort as a whole complies with current legislation in all respects. This process as explained before is likely to take approximately two months without any complications. So as soon as we have the Licences and Certificates we will be in touch with you all to request your presence (or that of your Power of Attorney) to sign your property over to you.

Remedial works related to the lists of faults I compiled for each property have nearly been completed, so the contractor’s teams will soon concentrate their efforts on the Common areas.

Maintenance of garden areas and the pools is still ongoing to ensure that the Resort will be in good condition when we hand over to you.

Finally the infrastructure works surrounding El Barranco Resort and over Amarilla Golf as a whole are progressing at a pace. The section of the main road leading down from the roundabout near Pinehurst towards Scorpio is now complete with the final tarmac topping. The road leading down past blocks A and C has the kerbs in place and the pavement is paved in front of block A, so only the areas in front of blocks C and the 5 link villas needs to be completed, which should be done so this week.

Hope this gives you a more up to date picture of where we stand now.

Regards,   Phil
