August Progress Report

Dear all,

Since my last update works have continued on site without rest bite. Although many other building sites in Tenerife have been working ‘Summer Hours’ (up to 2 or 3pm) throughout July and August our contractor has had his staff and contractors working the full day including some working on the bank holiday to do essential tasks.

Progress over the last month has concentrated on:

1.      Laying of stone finishes around the pools and placing of soil in the areas to be grassed.

2.      Installing of pool and irrigation pump and control equipment.

3.      Completing of all the sections of stone walls and stairs and ramps which had until now been left incomplete to permit access to various areas of the site with dumpers.

4.      Completing of the Pool bar structure together with ‘thatched’ roof.

5.      Constructing and placing of the bridge structure on and off Pool 1 island and across the centre of the site.

6.      Building and lining the stream structure with small mosaic tiles.

7.      A team has been employed consisting of bricklayers, plumbers, electricians, cleaners, decorators, foremen etc to attend to all snagging items within apartments. They have started in Block B and this last week have moved into block D. I am working closely with them to ensure that they attend to all the items, which I have noted from inspection on my own snagging list.

8.      Finishing the tiling of the pools with the small mosaic tiles and fitting the Munich filtration system channels and grills, connected to the pump houses.

9.      Creating the access ramps to the underground parking areas.

10.  Installing the emergency and normal lighting systems within the underground parking areas.

11.  Painting of all steelwork to boundary railings, balcony railings, staircase banister rails etc.

I hope you like the photos

Regards,   Phil
