June Progress Report

June has seen a great deal more progress in particular:

  1. More palms have been planted now stretching in a line from adjacent to Pool 1 to beyond Block A.
  2. Pool 1 has been almost completely tiled with the small mosaic style blue tiles. On the photos they look brown because the protective paper is still fixed to the faces of the tiles.
  3. Just about all the plant boxes have now been placed in their final positions and filled with gravel and soil. Even the irrigation pipework has been put in place to serve the planters in blocks A and B in preparation for planting up to commence in the next week or so.
  4. A great deal more work has been carried out on installing underground service ducts to serve such things as the general site lighting columns, the pool-side showers etc. Over these services the concrete laying has commenced which will support the natural stone finish, which will complement the pools.
  5. The gardens of the villas have been filled with soil.
  6. Water and electricity services are being connected to each individual apartment and villa.
  7. The swimming pool pump and equipment rooms are being fitted out and prepared with pipework connections to the pools to accept the filtration, pumping and regulation equipment etc.
  8. Numerous other housings have been built for instance to house the 4 jacuzzi pumping and control stations, the automatic plant irrigation system pumps and controls and the electrical fuse boards for the numerous pieces of equipment in the common areas which will need power.
  9. The stream, which will flow by the side of the various pools has been excavated and once the concrete to either side of the stream has been cast and work on laying the stone paving finish commences then work on forming the stream will commence.
  10. Work in creating the bar structure on the Island in the centre of Pool 1 has started with the form quickly becoming recognisable.
  11. The waterfall which is in the centre of the retaining wall at the head of Pool 1 has been created, all that is needed now is the natural stone facing (and of course water to flow down it)
  12. Some of the remaining spiral staircases have been placed to block C (C206, C207 and C208). The rest will be fixed over the next week or so.
  13. Where windows, internal doors, kitchen worktops or shutter boxes were missing last month efforts have concentrated on installing the vast majority of these during June.
  14. The vehicular access ramp to the parking areas of Block A and C has been graded and the flank wall structure has been built up.

The photos below give an idea of how the site is coming together now.
