May Progress Report

Dear all,

Progress has been good during May with action in all areas of the site.

1. Pools 4, 5 and 6 have been waterproofed and finished with mosaic style small light blue tiles.
2. Pools 1, 2 and 3 have been prepared for waterproofing compound and tiling, which will be carried out during the month of June.
3. Paving has been laid to the covered walkways between blocks B and D and the individual villas.
4. As you enter the complex from the street on the walkways which will take you to your front doors if you are on the ground floor or to the lifts and stairs if you are on the upper floors of the main blocks, tiles have been laid to blocks A and B. Their brown matches well with the timber structures of the upper walkways and trellis.
5. Planting of the palms started yesterday and the coco plumoso palms are now in place alongside Block B. The holes in the ground have also been excavated for planting of the palms to block A next week.
6. The vertical hardwood timber trellising has been installed to first floor to Block B.
7. Further horizontal hardwood trellising has been placed over pergola timbers to Blocks A and B. This gives a lovely dappled effect on the terrace and walls of the apartments beneath. Once the plants that will be planted in the planting boxes start to flow over the trellising the aspect will be spectacular.
8. A awful lot of time consuming work has gone into setting out all the ducting runs for such things as external lighting and poolside showers between the main blocks and the villas and around the pools in the centre of the site. All these items need to be carefully located prior to backfilling and commencing with the finishing around the pools of natural stone.
9. This month has also seen the tiling of the shower and washrooms adjacent to the main pools.
10. The garaging has been completely plastered and painted to finish and the electricians are presently installing the cable trays, which will soon distribute the electrical supply to each apartment of villa from its individual meter.
11. Finally the show apartment has been fully furnished by the highly professional furniture store, Biombo, located just up the road in Las Chafiras. Pili is the best person to deal with as here English is excellent.
