February Progress Report

Dear all,

Progress throughout February has been good with the following works progressing:

1.      The remaining double glazed windows have been put in place in Blocks A and B.

2.      External rendering is now complete.

3.      Block A, like Block B last month has now been screeded and tiles have been laid internally to apartment floors, their terraces and common areas, with all associated damp proofing taking place.

4.      Floor screeding in Block C has overtaken that in Block D. In addition tiling of floors has commenced in Block C.

5.   The carpenters attention has turned to fixing the timber pergola structures to the pool side elevations of Blocks A and B. These have added a 'fullness' to each apartment and again softned the often harsh feel of bland concrete.

6.      More planting boxes have been put in place to balcony edges to Block B aswell as to Block A now.

7.    Swimming pool 1 has really taken form over the last month with the walls and base being built up in spray concrete. The finish is excellent and the proportions should be perfect for lazily swimming around before cooling off with a cold drink from the island's bar.

8.      In addition to the works ongoing on the El Barranco Resort site, the Town Hall’s infrastructure contractor is still making good progress with the works in Amarilla Golf. The trench to one side of the road which winds down from Las Chafiras has now been completed in readiness for the installation of the new upgraded electricity supply cable which will bring the whole of Amarilla Golf that extra capacity so needed at present.
