January Progress Report

Dear all,

Progress throughout January has been good with the following works progressing:

1.      The vast majority of the double glazed windows have been put in place in Blocks A and B.

2.      External rendering of all four main blocks and the 15 villas is now approximately 99% complete.

3.      To Block B floors have been screeded and tiles have been laid internally to apartments, their terraces and common areas, with all associated damp proofing taking place.

4.      To Block A approximately 75% of apartments have had their floors screeded, 50% have had their floor tiles laid internally, whilst 60% of the external terraces have been protected with their damp proofing membrane.

5.      Floor screeding has commenced in Block D, so tiling will follow soon.

6.      The roadside timber walkway structures have now been fixed in place to each of the 4 main blocks with the process of fitting of metal banister rails progressing.

7.      Metal handrails and banisters have been fixed in place to all staircases as well as alongside the majority of ramps leading up from the pool level.

8.      Approximately 50% of the planting boxes have been put in place to balcony edges to Block B.

9.      The roofs have now been completed with their clay tile covering to all 4 main blocks as well as Villas 2 to 7 and 10. The timber roof structures are in place to Villas 8, 9 and 11 to 15 and work is progressing quickly to board these over, damp proof and cover with tiles.

10.  All electrical and plumbing first fix installations are in place to all apartments.

11.  Two lifts are now in place and a third is being assembled at present.

12.  Sanitary fittings have been placed in the bathroom and shower room of the show flat, walls have been decorated and we are now awaiting the imminent arrival of furniture to fit it out.

13.  Swimming pool 1 has been excavated and the start of the central island built up. The sides of the pool and island have been marked out with wooden posts in readiness for building up of the walls.

14.  In addition to the works ongoing on the El Barranco Resort site, the Town Hall’s infrastructure contractor is making good progress with the works in Amarilla Golf. Please look at the News section to see the latest.

Photos below show work to Pool 1, Block A, the roadside timber walkways and metal banister rails to Block B and work ongoing with the roads adjacent to the El Barranco Resort site.
