Taurus Project Manager Phillip Wright reports:

a view of the roof structures to the Villas

  1. Regular progress meeting took place on Tuesday
  2. Progress on site over week:
    1. Timber roof structures to Villas 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 have been completed in preparation for fixing of clay tiles.
    2. Stone walls are continuing to be built up below Villas 5, 6 and 7.
    3. The concrete to the upper section of the ramped pedestrian walkway, which passes in front of Villas 2 and 3 has been cast in concrete.
    4. More apartments within Block B have been cabled.
    5. Further sections of basement parking floor slabs have been laid to Block C.
    6. Movement joints have been cut into the basement floor slabs to Blocks B and C.
    7. The floor to the basement storerooms has been cast to Block A in preparation for the building up in blockwork of the walls to enclose each store.
    8. Plumbing work has been carried out to connect each of the apartments within Block B to the main supply network.
    9. Ventilation stacks are being built up on the roof of Block B which will vent bathrooms.
    10. Plastering of apartment walls has commenced to second floor apartments to Block B.
    11. Rendering of external walls of the Villas has commenced with work progressing to Villas 2 and 3.
