Tenerife is the largest and most popular of the Canary Islands and rests approximately four hours flying time from the UK and central Europe. There are daily scheduled flights from Manchester and Gatwick and weekly flights, Sunday, Tuesday and Friday from most UK international airports. Located off the West Coast of Africa in the Atlantic Ocean the islands are warmed by the Gulf Stream ensuring water temperatures are usually between 19ºC and 21ºC, making the islands popular with scuba divers wishing to explore the rich and varied sea life that inhabits the volcanic seascapes. | |
